Black Sabbath continuam sem Bill Ward!
- Parece que a reunião com a formação original de Black Sabbath durou uma conferência de imprensa!
Bill Ward, através do Facebook, disse que não se iria juntar aos restantes elementos dos Black Sabbath - Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne & Geezer Butler - se não tivesse um contrato digno. Ward acrescentou que está preparado para se juntar aos restantes elementos para a gravação do novo disco, APENAS se tiver um contrato ao digno e respeitável de um elemento da formação original.
Um dia depois do anúncio de Ward, os restantes elementos da banda lamentaram o anúncio do baterista e não têm outra alternativa senão continuar a gravar, e mais tarde anda em digressão, sem o baterista original.
Comunicado de Bill Ward:
"At this time, I would love nothing more than to be able to proceed with the BLACK SABBATH album and tour. However, I am unable to continue unless a 'signable' contract is drawn up; a contract that reflects some dignity and respect toward me as an original member of the band."
"I worked last year in "good faith" with fellow original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, including rehearsals and a November press conference in Los Angeles. Several days ago, after nearly a year of trying to negotiate, another 'unsignable' contract was handed to me."
"Although this has put me in some kind of holding pattern, I am packed and ready to leave the U.S. for England. More importantly, I definitely want to play on the album, and I definitely want to tour with BLACK SABBATH."
"My guess is . . . I will know nothing of what's happening unless I sign 'the unsignable contract.'"
"The place I'm in feels lousy and lonely because as much as I want to play and participate, I also have to stand for something and not sign on. If I sign 'as is,' I stand to lose my rights, dignity and respectability as a rock musician."
"I hope you will not hold me responsible for the failure of an original BLACK SABBATH lineup as promoted . . . It would be a sad day in rock if this current situation fell to the desires of a few."

"We were saddened to hear yesterday via Facebook that Bill declined publicly to participate in our current BLACK SABBATH plans... We have no choice but to continue recording without him although our door is always open... We are still in the U.K. with Tony. Writing and recording the new album and on a roll... Os Van Halen, uma das mais importantes bandas rock de todos os tempos, editam um novo disco, «A Different Kind of Truth» no próximo dia 6 de Fevereiro. «Tattoo» é o primeiro single do álbum que marca o regresso do vocalista David Lee Roth, ausente desde «1984», o multiplatinado clássico do grupo.
A lendária banda vai começar a sua digressão pelos EUA no dia 18 de Fevereiro. Em algumas datas, serão acompanhados pelos Kool & The Gang. Neste regresso aos palcos, os fãs podem contar com interpretações dos Van Halen de canções de «A Different Kind of Truth», lado a lado com sucessos épicos, como «Eruption», «Running With The Devil», «Somebody Get Me A Doctor», «Jump», «Panama», «Hot For Teacher» ou «I’ll Wait».
Formados em Los Angeles, em 1974, os Van Halen mudaram para sempre o panorama rock ao apresentarem uma incomparável presença em palco e uma musicalidade revolucionária. Com mais de 75 milhões de discos vendidos, os Van Halen viram em 2007 o seu nome ser inscrito no Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
