Os Pentakill são a in-house metal band do jogo League of Legends.
A banda é composta por músicos bem conhecidos do meio e em conjunto com a equipa de produção e de composição musical do jogo League of Legends, da Riot Games.
Em 2014 a banda lançou um EP, «Smite And Ignite», que incluía temas como "Light Bringer", "Ohmwrecker" e "The Hex Core", entrou para o top 40 da tabela de vendas da Billboard e conseguiu o #1 no iTunes na categoria de metal.
Para este ano de 2017, a banda prepara o lançamento de "Pentakill II: Grasp Of The Undying" e vai contar com a colaboração de músicos como Tommy Lee dos Motley Crue, Danny Lohner dos Nine Inch Nails, Noora Louhimo, vocalista da banda finlandesa Battle Beast, Jorn Lande e Scott Kirkland dos The Crystal Method entre outros.
Deste novo trabalho já são conhecidos dois temas:
"Tears of the Goddess" que conta com a voz de Noora Louhimo.
E ainda "The Bloodthirster" com a voz de Jorn Lande e sintetizadores de Scott Kirkland.
A Riot Games criou uma skin para Noora e que vai ter o nome de "Pentakill Kayle" e estará disponível brevemente.
Sobre a sua participação no disco, Noora disse o seguinte: "Tenho grande notícias para todos vocês que adoram League of Legends a música dos Pentakill. Tive a honra de participar no próximo trabalho da banda, «Pentakill II», como vocalista no tema "Tear of the Goddess". Mais novidades sobre o disco brevemente!"
- Os norte-americanos Black Stone Cherry vão editar um EP, «Back To The Blues», no próximo dia 29 de setembro, através da Mascot Label Group.
Neste EP a banda vai a sua raíz de blues e deixa o rock n' roll um pouco de parte.
Sobre o disco, Chris Robertson disse o seguinte:
"I know it's crazy for four rock 'n' roll dudes to make a blues EP, but it's us sharing with everyone the music that's been our DNA from day one. Blues is the music we listen to when we sit around on the bus with a bottle of bourbon."

O disco foi gravado em Londres, nos famosos estúdios Abbey Road e foi produzido por Dave Cobb.

- Os britânicos Cradle of Filth vão editar no dia 22 de Setembro, o novo trabalho de originais, «Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay», através da Nuclear Blast Records.
A capa, as fotografias e os vídeos do novo trabalho, foram criação de Artūrs Bērziņš.
O disco foi gravado nos Grindstone Studios, Suffolk, Reino Unido por Scott Atkins.

- Os germânicos, Rage, vão editar no dia 28 de Julho o novo disco de originais, «Seasons of the Black», através da Nuclear Blast Records.
O novo trabalho foi gravado em Fevereiro e Março deste ano, nos Megafon Studios emBurscheid, na Alemanha e nos Soundchaser Studios em Zandhoven, na Bélgica. O disco foi produzido pelos RAGE e misturado e masterizado por Dan Swanö nos Unisound Studios emGrefrath, na Alemanha.
