- Os suecos, At The Gates, vão editar no dia 18 de maio de 2018 o novo disco de originais, «To Drink From The Night Itself».
O novo trabalho foi gravado nos Parlour Studios, em Inglaterra, por Russ Russell.
Sobre o novo trabalho, o vocalista Tomas Lindberg disse o seguinte:
"We have wrapped up the recordings of the new record, and we are super psyched! It has been a smooth process, and very creatively fullfilling. All people that we have worked with on this project have stepped up to our vision of the final product, and we are very excited about the result.
As you might have seen, we have worked with Russ Russel on this one, and he is really a master of getting the most intense takes out of us, and also has an ear for the rawness that we were after for this one. The vocals were recorded with Per Stålberg here in Gothenburg, and he always makes me deliver to a 100%. Right now we are getting the mastering done, and every new song that is bounced to us produces huge grins on our faces. This album sounds hungry and mean.
The title of our new record will be "To Drink From The Night Itself", and it is, again a conceptual record. More details about the concept will be revealed once the album is more on its way. But it connects with the deep roots of the band, and has connections with some of the themes on "The Red In The Sky Is Ours".

- Os Lamb of God vão editar um disco de versões, «Legion: XX», sob o desígnio de Burn The Priest, que foi o nome da banda antes de se tornarem os Lamb of God!
O disco vai ter edição no dia 18 de maio através da Nuclear Blast Records.
Sobre este trabalho, Randy Blythe afirmou: “I’ve been an Accused fan since I was 14 when they were on the "Thrasher Skate Rock Volume 3” compilation with C.O.C. and all these amazing crossover bands. Their singer Blaine Cook was a huge influence on me, vocally.”
O guitarrista Mark Morton acrescentou: “To truly understand the essence of the band BURN THE PRIEST , one must first consider the landscape in which it began: the mid-90s. Grunge and alternative music ruled the airwaves. Social media and the internet had yet to assume their role as our collective sources for entertainment and cultural exchange. It was a time when DIY 'zines turned us onto new bands and regional scenes, and ‘copy and paste’ still implied a print shop and a glue stick.”
Já Chris Adler disse: “‘Inherit The Earth’ hit me in the face soon after I managed to get my grubby mitts on the album sometime around ‘88. I got the Accused record at a “Yellow Banana” record store on Route 1 south of DC while in route back from my “counselor” to my home in Woodbridge, Virginia. I got home and grabbed my board and I rocked it on my Discman. At about 2:12 into the tune the clouds parted above me and on a loudspeaker, God bellowed down to me, ‘RECEIVE YOUR PURPOSE.’ That was the moment I knew that if I tried hard enough, I could convey myself and how I felt - with music. It will never be “ours,” and we know that about all the tunes we’ve covered, but hopefully one of them hit you in the face as I had been, and God will part the clouds for you, too.”

- Os Amorphis vão editar o novo disco de estúdio, «Queen of Time», no próximo dia 18 de Maio através da Nuclear Blast Records.
O novo trabalho sucede a «Under The Red Cloud», editado em 2015. O novo trabalho foi produzido por Jens Bogren e vai contar com arranjos orchestrais, um coro, flautas e arranjos de cordas.
Outra novidade neste novo trabalho é a participação do letrista da banda, Pekka Kainulainen, com um discurso em finlandês.
Sobre o novo trabalho, Esa Holopainen afirmou: "I guess »Queen Of Time« turned out as a massive surprise to all of us. During the rehearsing and pre-production we didn‘t have any idea that Jens had this huge picture inside of his head about the landscape of the album. It‘s a very natural continuation to »Under The Red Cloud« but with steroids. The songs are more aggressive but there‘s more dynamics, harmonies and orchestral arrangements present. The result is AMORPHIS as something you‘ve never heard before! Essentially, working with Jens worked really well. As a person he is very similar to us - we share the same kind of weird humor and we all like to work hard."
